Konshisha Military Invasion: Ama Donates Relief Materials To Shangev-Tiev IDPs

An Abuja based Businessman cum Politician, Hon. Victor Hundu Ama Friday paid a sympathy visit on the Internally Displaced Persons, IPDs, who were victims of the recent militiary attack on some Communities in Shangev-Tiev, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

The Jechira son from Vandeikya Local Government went to Gbinde and Gungul Communities where the IDPs Converged and donated relief materials ranging from bags of maize, salt, indomie, detergent powder, soap and slippers. The gesture according to him was a demonstration of his desire to cushion their hardship and the visit will be made from time.

Addressing the people at Waya Swande Catholic Church Gbinde and NKST Gungul, Hon. Hundu expressed displeasure over the condition of the IDPs, saying he was not happy to make such a donation when his people were in a pathetic situation but wished to have authority to prevent such occurrence.
He said that what happened was unexpected at this civilized time in the 21st Century but God who knows better would console them.

The Business Tycoon who is vying to represent Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal constituency at the National Assembly therefore prayed God to empower him to be the mouthpiece of his people whenever their rights are to be encroached upon.

At Gbinde Community, Hon. Victor Ama Hundu and his entourage were received by Reverend Father Simon Nyiekaa, priest in charge of Waya Swande Catholic Church who commended him for the kind gesture and Prayed God to bless him profoundly. The Cleric also urged Shangev-Tiev people to channel their energies towards lucrative ventures to achieve development.

In separate comments, others who spoke at Gbinde including Mue Ter Shangev-Tiev, Chief Moses Kyarem represented by the district head of Kyurav/Mbatwer, Chief Venda Pila, former Education Secretary in Konshisha Local Government, Mr Peter Manyam KSM, Councilor representing Mbagusa/Mbatser, Hon. Solomon Mela Yange and Mrs Nyieõr Anshungu, all appreciated Hon. Hundu for identifying with them promptly in their trying time and prayed God to grant his heart desire. They were optimistic that if the Aspirant for Jechira Constituency seat succeeds, he will not forget them at all.

The entourage was received at NKST Gungul by the District Head of Iwarnyam, HRH Chief Lazarus Unaha Kõkõ and his counterpart from Mbakyase, Chief Timothy Luga who was represented by the kindred head of Mbaakor/Mbaanaikyaa, Zaki Memzan Anacha while the items were received by wife (Atese) of the resident pastor assisted by elders of the Church for onward distribution to the beneficiaries.

The responses by Gungul people were the same as that of Gbinde people as they were unanimous in their appreciation for Hon. Ama and showered prayers on him for God’s immeasurable blessings.

Those who accompanied Hon. Victor Ama on the visit were the Director General of his 2023 Campaign Organization, Hon. Ortese Kpev JP, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Mrs Wuese Ubebe represented by Mr Festus Dzever, Supervisory Councilor for works, Vandeikya LG Council, Hon. Gbihi Tion and former Deputy Chairman of Vandeikya Local Government, Hon. Girgi Terlumun who in separate remarks consoled the victims and prayed for God’s intervention in their situation.
