APGA: I’ll obey Supreme Court verdict affirming Ezeokenwa as chairman – Njoku
A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Edozie Njoku, says he will comply with the judgment recognising Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the party.
DAILY POST reports that Ezeokenwa, Victor Oye, and Njoku have been in court over the party’s chairmanship position.
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja had last week ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to acknowledge Ezeokenwa as the authentic chairman of APGA.
The Supreme Court affirmed the judgment on Wednesday.
In the unanimous judgment, a five-member panel of the apex court led by Justice Stephen Adah held that Njoku was wrong for parading himself as APGA national chairman.
However, while addressing journalists in Abuja on Thursday, Njoku said he would comply with the verdict even though it is not in his favour
