Bauchi Gov, Mohammed signs N467bn 2025 appropriation bill into law

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of N467 billion into law.
Recall, the budget was passed by the State House of Assembly after an upward adjustment of N2 billion from the initial N465 billion proposed by the governor on November 21, 2024.
The Speaker of the House, Suleiman Abubakar, presented the revised budget Tagged “Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable Development,” at the Banquet Hall of the Government House on Friday.
He noted that the adjustment was to ensure the budget met the needs of the people and addressed critical areas of development.
He said, “We gave our word to the governor and the good people of Bauchi State that we would pass the 2025 budget before the year runs out. The House, through its various committees, painstakingly reviewed the proposal to make sure allocations align with the demands of the state.”
Abubakar also presented another bill, the Bauchi State Water and Industrial System Law, aimed at improving access to clean water and empowering communities to participate in water resource management
