Benue BPP Director General Hosts Christmas Celebration In Igumale, Vows Tour Of Remaining Wards In Ado LGA

Engr. Dr. Comfort Akwonya Adadu, the Director General of the Benue State Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP), celebrated Christmas with residents of Igumale Wards 1 and 2 in Ado Local Government Area (LGA). This visit is part of her planned tour across all ten wards in the LGA, aimed at fostering unity and promoting development within the community and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the event, Dr. Adadu commended Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Deputy Governor, Barr. Sam Ode, and other members of the state administration for their effective governance. She particularly highlighted the swift implementation of the N75,000 minimum wage for civil servants as a landmark achievement.
According to Innocent Igelle, cLMiH, mPPSN, Principal Private Secretary to the Chairman, Dr. Adadu also praised the ongoing construction of the Igumale-Agila road, urging the Governor to prioritize similar infrastructure projects, including the Utonkon-Igumale road.
“My visit to Igumale is a demonstration of my commitment to Ado residents as a key stakeholder. This is not just a Christmas celebration but a foundation for future collaboration and growth. I believe in the visionary leadership of Governor Alia and Engr. Sunny Oche, who are dedicated to uplifting Ado Local Government,” Igelle quoted Adadu to have stated.
The DG further stressed the importance of unity within the APC, underscoring its role in ensuring effective governance. Addressing women in attendance, Dr. Adadu encouraged them to excel in their roles as homemakers while actively engaging in party activities, recognizing their invaluable contribution to society. She also distributed Christmas gifts, including cash, salt, Maggi seasoning, and cooking oil, to support the women.
The event was graced by the Ada Ado, HRH Joseph Ochikor Onazi, and other dignitaries, including Hon. Otse Sunday Ogenyi, Deputy Leader of the Ado Legislative House (Ward 1); Hon. Otsapa Daniel Otse, his Ward 2 counterpart; and Hon. Noble F. Abakpa, Supervisory Councilor for Education, Youths, and Sports Development. They commended Governor Alia and Engr. Sunny Oche for their commitment to the development of Ado Local Government and the state at large.
