Benue Procurement DG Inspects Inclusive Renovation Project At State Assembly Complex

Director General of the Benue State Public Procurement Commission, Engr. Dr. Comfort Akwonya Adadu, has undertaken an inspection of the ongoing renovation at the Benue State House of Assembly, aimed at creating a modern, functional, and accessible legislative environment.

During the inspection, Engr. Dr. Akwonya Adadu underscored the importance of inclusivity, directing contractors to integrate a ramp to enhance access for persons with disabilities. She stressed that the ramp is essential to ensuring that all citizens, regardless of physical ability, can easily access the Assembly complex and participate fully in the legislative process.

According to George Nder, Media Aide to the DG, the renovation project aligns with Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration’s commitment to delivering improved infrastructure and fostering an inclusive working environment across state institutions. The upgraded Assembly complex is expected to provide lawmakers and staff with a conducive space to efficiently serve the people of Benue State.

Engr. Dr. Akwonya Adadu’s proactive supervision highlights her drive for value for money, quality assurance, and accountability in public procurement. Her leadership is reinforcing a culture of transparency and high standards in the execution of government projects.
