Benue State Public Procurement Commission Inspects Projects In Gboko

The Benue State Public Procurement Commission has conducted an inspection of two ongoing projects in Gboko Local Government Area to assess compliance with procurement regulations and ensure quality execution.
The Director General of the Commission, Engr. Dr. Comfort Akwonya Adadu, led the inspection team on Thursday to the project sites at Ikyese Street, Adekaa, and a culvert at Tsar Adih-NKST Buter Road GJSS (UBE)-Chafa Don Road. The projects are being executed by Sun Link Nig Limited.
Accompanied by Procurement Compliance Officer Mr. James Ajaka and the Commission’s Civil Engineer, Engr. Sanchose Ojonugwa Amen, the Director General expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far. However, she issued directives for additional work to enhance the quality and durability of the projects.
According to the Commission’s Information Officer, the visit was part of the Commission’s statutory responsibility to conduct due diligence on public projects. As mandated by law, the Commission regulates procurement processes in Benue State, ensuring that projects meet both local and international standards.
“The Benue State Public Procurement Commission is committed to upholding transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public procurement,” the Information Officer stated. “This inspection underscores our dedication to ensuring that government-funded projects are executed properly and in the best interest of the people.”
The Commission reaffirmed Its commitment to rigorous project monitoring, assuring the public that it would continue to enforce procurement standards and prevent substandard project execution across the state.
