Benue SUBEB Chairman Supports BSU Alumni Association

The Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Board (SUBEB), Comrade Joseph Utse, has assured of his unwavering support to the Benue State University Alumni Association (BSUAA) to enable the association transform the citadel of learning.

Comrade Utse gave the assurance Wednesday when he received in audience, BSUAA interim national President, Comrade Godwin Terhemba Agbadu, and his EXCO who paid him a courtesy call at the Board headquarters in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Himself a BSU alumnus, Comrade Utse said he officially became a registered BSUAASITE during the visit and the association should not hesitate to beckon on him whenever the need arises and promised to look into all the requests presented to him during the visit.

Earlier in his address, the BSUAA interim national President, Comrade Terhemba Agbadu, said the essence of the courtesy call was to identify with the SUBEB Chairman for his remarkable transformation of the Board.

The BSUAA president said Comrade Utse’s numerous achievements are conspicuously on ground for everyone to see hence their decision to identify with him for his excellent performance as an alumnus.

Comrade Agbadu among other requests, solicited the SUBEB Boss to support BSUAA to attend the conference of Alumni Association of Nigerian Universities coming up next week in Kano State so as that they will elect people who will lead Nigeria in the area of Alumni.

In his remarks, former BSUAA national President, Comrade Stephen Ijoh, added that part of the visit was to congratulate Comrade Utse on his appointment as SUBEB Executive Chairman and to throw their solidarity behind him. Comrade Ijoh on behalf of BSUAA appreciated Governor Samuel Ortom for finding one of their own worthy to serve as SUBEB Chairman and also giving him unflinching support to succeed in the position.

Also speaking, another BSUAA president, Comrade James Ayoosu who preceded Comrade Stephen Ijoh in office commended Governor Samuel Ortom for making it possible for children in IDP camps to receive formal education. He also commended the efforts of Comrade Joseph Utse and the entire management staff of SUBEB, describing them as good Education Managers.

In a vote of thanks, SUBEB Secretary, Agbo Ochekpe, appreciated BSUAA team for the solidarity visit and prayed for a harmonious working relation between SUBEB and the association.
