The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, has distanced itself from a mischievous announcement on Facebook by Benue Info-pedia for the 2022/2023 recruitment of Basic Education Teachers dated 25th July, 2022.
The disclaimer was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, 26th July, 2022 by the Board’s Secretary, Agbo Ochekpe and made available to SkyNews by the SUBEB Head of Information/Protocol, Erdoo Sar.
“The public is hereby informed that the announcement did not emanate from SUBEB and the Board has not made any fresh announcement for teachers’ recruitment since 28th September, 2021.
“The delay in the recruitment of teachers is due to implementation of the recent promotion of teachers in the state by the administration of Governor Samuel Ortom.
“The Board is currently working assiduously at resolving problems arising from the promotion exercise especially since most of them moved two to three Grade levels upwards.
“Benue Info-pedia may be out to cause mischief or confusion for any ulterior motives best known to them hence their announcement should be disregarded in its entirety.
“Interested applicants have been urged to be patient for authentic information from SUBEB on teachers’ recruitment at an appropriate time as modalities are being worked out for the recruitment exercise announced last year to take effect”, the statement read.
