Dr. Zegetor Kaase Consecrated As Bishop Of Utor United Christians’ Mission
Rev. Dr Zegetor Kaase, President and Founder of Utor United Christians’ Mission Inc., also known as Zegetor Prayer Ministry, has been consecrated as the Bishop of the ministry. The solemn ceremony took place on Saturday at UMC and was officiated by Bishop Joe Dakor, President of the Camp David Communion of Apostolic Leaders (CDCAL).
In his charge to Bishop Zegetor, Bishop Dakor urged him to remain steadfast in his new role, emphasizing the need for hard work and dedication in leading God’s flock. He also called on members of the ministry to support their leader to ensure the success of the mission.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Judah Mike Angou urged the congregation to offer genuine and meaningful service to God. He emphasized the importance of thanksgiving, self-sacrifice, helping others, and embracing the call to deny oneself, take up their cross, and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Drawing from Romans 12:1, Archbishop Angou highlighted that true service to God is not about outward appearances or superficial actions but about heartfelt devotion and sincerity. Referring to Bishop Zegetor Kaase Apie, Archbishop Angou noted that his elevation to the position of Bishop was a result of his faithful and dedicated service to God. He encouraged the congregation to prioritize pleasing God over seeking approval or validation from others.
Speaking after his consecration, Bishop Zegetor described the event as a divine elevation and a call to greater responsibility. “The Bible says, to whom much is given, much is expected. This elevation is a higher obligation for me, and I see new heights as we take the Word of Christ further,” he remarked.
Bishop Zegetor also urged people to embrace Christ and prepare for the end times, stating, “We are in the end times. The world cannot get better, but those who believe in Christ will. My advice to everyone is to hold onto Christ firmly; He alone has the answers to our struggles.”
Reflecting on his spiritual experience during the consecration, he described it as an indescribable encounter. “It was an impartation of grace, a higher spiritual connection that words cannot fully explain,” he added.
Bishop Zegetor Kaase Apie hails from Mbamo, Kpav District in Katsina Ala Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. He dedicated his life to Christ in 1998 at Christian Life Evangelical Ministries in Tarhembe, Tarkaa Local Government Area, under the mentorship of Rev. Joseph Izuagie.
His theological journey began in Port Harcourt, where he earned a certificate from Open Heaven Bible School in 2003. He later advanced his studies at Assemblies of God Bible School in Rivers State, earning a National Diploma in Theology and being ordained a Reverend Pastor on February 11, 2007, at Open Heaven Church (Palace of Grace), Elemen, Rivers State.
Driven by his thirst for theological knowledge, Dr. Zegetor pursued further studies at Global Apostolic College of Theology, Abuja, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 2021. On November 14, 2024, he was honored with a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration and Management.
Dr. Zegetor’s ministry journey spans various roles in different ministries, including service at Seekers Redemption Church in Makurdi. In January 2018, he was officially released by the General Overseer and elders to establish the Utor United Christians’ Mission, which he leads to date.
The ministry, often referred to as Hia Hia (burn by fire), is known for its powerful prayer sessions, divine healings, prophecies, and deliverance of the oppressed. Dr. Zegetor resides in Makurdi, Benue State, with his wife and two children, Favour and Glory.
With his consecration as Bishop, Dr. Zegetor Kaase continues to lead a ministry characterized by remarkable manifestations of divine presence, inspiring his congregation to deeper faith and commitment.
