Experts enjoin medical personnel to uphold professional ethics

Newly recruited medical personnel in the Ogun State Civil Service have been enjoined to uphold ethics of the profession in the discharge of their duties and see their roles as crucial to the overall well-being of the people.

The personnel comprise medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical record officers, medical laboratory scientists, physiotherapists and dental officers for the senior cadre, while health attendants, cooks, clerks, messengers and watchmen, were for the junior cadre.

The Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olayinka Elemide, while speaking during a two-day Orientation/Induction programme organised for the officers with the theme, ‘Facilitating Effective and Efficient Service Delivery’, emphasised the importance of teamwork, dedication and professionalism.

Elemide, represented by the Head, Abeokuta Health Zone and the Chief Medical Director, General Hospital, Odeda, Dr. Adewunmi Alayaki, stated that the orientation exercise would enable the personnel to be acquainted with the rules and regulations guiding Public and Civil Service
