ICPC tracks N13.9bn FG projects in Niger

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has begun phase 7 tracking of Constituency and Executive Projects across Niger State.
A Tracker from the ICPC, Mallam Sai’du Yahaya, made this known during the tracking exercise in Minna on Thursday.
Yahaya said no fewer than 80 projects would be tracked across various sectors, including education, health, water resources, power, empowerment and agriculture, amongst others.
He also revealed that the projects worth a total of N13.9 billion, commenced in 2022 and 2023.
“The primary objective of the tracking exercise is to ensure that Federal Government projects are executed according to specifications and contract agreements.
“This is also to detect potential fraud, identify instances of contractors or supervisors conspiring to defraud the Federal Government.
“It is also to ensure quality execution, that is, to verify if projects met contractual specifications,” he said
