Ijegun Market’s First Phase Commissioned

The people of Ijegun community in Lagos State on Tuesday experienced a new dawn as the first phase of Ijegun market was commissioned.

The commissioning ceremony was performed by the Chairperson of Oriade LCDA, Alhaja Ramotalahi Akinola.

In an interview, the Iya Oloja General of Ijegun Market Oriade.-Alhaja Tawakalitu Balogun, said there were lots of market sellers along the roads with their shades causing traffic which is against the government’s wish hence the project. “Today some of the sellers will be moving out of the road and acquiring the market”, she added.

Balogun was optimistic that the initiative would enhance great and smooth marketing and sales. She thanked God that the road was being constructed and it will impact positively on the market.

Chief Adeniyi Adeyinka, one of the developers and C.E.O Yinkus Accurate Multibusiness Nigeria LTD, described the project as a great achievement, noting that some difficulties arose in the course of the construction but God intervened. According to him, most of the difficulties encountered were attitudes of the people towards the project and price tag of the shops.

While Adeyinka disclosed that other two phases of the market were under construction, he commended the Iyaoloja Ijegun and the executive chairperson of Oriade for their activeness and support towards the project.

Also speaking in an interview, Alhaji Kazeem, the Developer /C.E.O of Kazola Nigeria Ltd, expressed hope that there was a great future for the market. He thanked the Iya-Oloja and the Chairperson for their massive support, saying “Iya-oloja stood by us even at the chaos of Omo-onile and ensure positivity”.

Kazeem said he was not surprised about the good construction because Kazola had handled more than 12 of such projects. He cited some of the project handled by kazola including Ikotun Ultra Modern Market, Egbe Elewe Market, Iyana Ipaja Ultra Modern Market and many more.
