As 2023 general elections draw nearer and aspirants declare interest in various political positions, Victor Hundu Ama has come out to contest for Jechira Federal Constituency seat which comprises Vandeikya and Konshisha Local Government Areas of Benue state.
Victor Hindu, an Abuja based business man cum politician hails from Vandeikya Local Government Council of Benue state and is seeking to occupy the Jerchira federal house of representatives seat come 2023.
Even though he is yet to declare for a political party to actualize his ambition, he said he has been watching political developments in the state and the country at large for over eleven years and would soon decide on the right platform.
He recently met with journalists in Makurdi, the Benue state capital where he informed them about his political intentions and his plans for his constituency once he clinches the seat.
He noted that most members of the National Assembly do not implement the budget for their constituency projects to the latter, saying his desire was to change the trend so as to ensure full dividends of democracy for his people.
” Every year I download the full budget of the National Assembly, go through it and have discovered over time that the constituency budgets are not usually fully implemented, they only implement it at the surface, so this trend must change” he said
He further solicited support from people in his constituency to be prepared to be abreast of the challenges and task of the journey to the lower chamber of NASS.
According to him concerted efforts must be made to improve on the lives of the people by engaging them through vocational trainings, proper scholarship scheme as well as micro finance facilities to boost their businesses.
