My Wife’s Abductors Threatening To Come Back For Me- Unenge

Benue State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Solid Minerals, Hon. Bernard Unenge has alarmed that the abductors of his wife, Mrs Ann Unenge, are threatening to come back and kidnap him after his wife has been rescued by the police.

Hon. Unenge who disclosed this on Sunday while interacting with Journalists at his official residence in Makurdi said, “I urge the police not to go back and rest again because what the kidnappers were telling me on phone is that, it’s either they come back for me if I don’t do what they want or this and that. Those that were killed were not the main guys, the main guys took my wife’s phone, removed the sim card and left Makurdi. From the report I got from the police, the last time they tried tracking that number, it was identified in Enugu. So, that shows to me clearly that the kingpins of that operation were not those that were killed.

“So I will urge that the Security agents should not rest on their oars because it is not over, “Unenge alerted.

The Commissioner said his wife was kidnapped on Thursday, 29th July 2021 at about 7pm when she visited her parents in Daudu, a nearby town to Makurdi, adding that she was picked between NNPC mega filling station and Commissioners’ quarters Makurdi.

Hon. Unenge clarified that his wife’s abduction was a pure act of criminality and did not have any political undertone.

In a remark, Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Rural Development, Hon. Godwin Donko who described the kidnap as act of “intimidation” encouraged Hon. Unenge to remain focused. He prayed God to protect the family against further criminal attacks.
