Natasha’s conduct likely to disrupt peace, sanity of Nigerian Senate- APC youth league

An All Progressives Congress – APC Youth League, has asserted that although Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has the right to express her grievances, the approach taken was likely to disrupt the peace and sanctity of the Nigerian Senate.

The league noted that it was an “unnecessary affront displayed and harmful to the Senate as an institution”

The National president of the league, Olamide Lawal, stated this while addressing newsmen at the weekend.

DAILY POST reports that the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, had a face-off with Akpabio during Senate plenary over a new seating arrangement and had accused the Senate President of sexually harassing her.

She was then suspended on March 6 for six months without pay after the heated confrontation.

Following this, Natasha filed a contempt suit against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and others over her suspension and reported the case to the UN Inter-Parliamentary Union
