The Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota at the paramount and ancient Otta Awori kingdom, HRM Oba Professor Adeyele Abdukabir Obalanlege, Ph.D , MCIPR, MPRII,FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Igamode) has celebrated five years on the throne.
Speaking during the ceremony which took place in his new palace, the Oba, Professor Adeyele Abdukabir Obalanlege who thanked God for protecting him to clock 5 years on the royal seat, encouraged the youths of Otta to be of good conduct so as to bring a positive impact in the kingdom and Nigeria at large.
In an interview, the cooperate affairs manager of the Nigeria Breweries plc, Mr Danjuma John Ekele, described the royal father as a strong stakeholder of the Nigeria Breweries.
Mr Ekele said he and the kabeiyesi grew up together in Lagos State and he was a very intelligent person. According to Ekele, the Nigeria Breweries has been in partnership with the king for a long time.
He attested that Oba Prof. Obalanlege has empowered the youths of Otta, having trained about 80 people with skills.
The 5th year coronation anniversary witnessed the laying of foundation for a 300-capacity Otta E- Library at the Palace premises. The Deputy Governor of Ogun State Engr, Mrs Noimot Salako -Oyodele , the speaker Lagos State House of Assembly. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and other dignitaries lay the foundation of the E- Library.
Some notable dignitaries and political Lords who graced the 5th coronation anniversary were a former president of Nigeria and chairman of the day, Chief Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Governor, Ogun State, Engr Mrs Noimot Salako -Oyodele Deputy Governor Ogun State and Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker, Lagos State House of assembly.
Others in attendance included HRM Oba Babatunde Ajayi Akarigbo, the Paramount ruler of Remo land, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Alake the Paramount ruler of Egba land, Oba Abdulkabir Agbabiaka Isolo of Isolo Awori kingdom Lagos State, HRM Momodu Afolabi Ashafa the Onijanikin of Ijanikn kingdom, HRM Oba Elder Josiah Olarewaju Ilemobade Aina Kuyamiku 1 the Oloto of Oto Awori kingdom, HRM Oba Dr Oladele Kosoko JP FMHR, Ogundeyi II, The Oniworo of Iworo Awori Kingdom and His Imperial Majestic Oba Sulieman Adeshina (Jafo Authority), the Oniba Ekun of Iba kingdom.
