Ogun Govt congratulates Doko on emergence as African Scrabble Champion

The Ogun State Government has congratulated Oluwatimilehin Doko, the number one player of the Ogun State Scrabble Association, over his outstanding achievement as the newly crowned African Scrabble Champion in Kigali, Rwanda.

The government stated that his outstanding performance in the 32-round competition, which saw him win the title, was evidence of his diligence and hard work.

In a congratulatory letter signed by the Commissioner for Sports Development, Wasiu Isiaka, on Monday, the government stated that Timilehin has earned the prestigious Continental Champion (CC) badge due to his exceptional skills and strategic prowess, which he rightfully deserves after competing against the best in Africa.

Isiaka noted that in a remarkable display of talent, Timilehin defeated fellow Ogun State player and Team Nigeria colleague Abdulmumin Jimoh in the penultimate game, showcasing the depth of talent that the state continues to produce
