Plateau: Latest attacks on defenceless citizens unacceptable – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Saturday condemned the latest bandit attacks in Plateau State, stating that attacks on defenceless citizens are unacceptable to his administration.
Tinubu, in a statement by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, assured that the gunmen would be met with severe consequences.
Recall that violence broke out again in Plateau, leading to the killing of many people in Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government Area.
The development, which the President described as saddening, prompted a statement condoling the victims’ families.
In doing so, the President commiserated with the Government of Plateau State and Governor Caleb Mutfwang, urging the affected communities to cooperate with the authorities and security agencies by volunteering information to apprehend the perpetrators and secure their communities.
“I extend my condolences to the families of the victims in Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government, and those from Manguna and Dafo villages, where the gunmen launched brutal attacks, resulting in the loss of lives and destruction of properties,” the President noted
