Ex- Benue First Lady Regina Tasks Gaadi Family On Unity

Former Benue First Lady and wife of the Honorable Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs Regina Akume, has urged the family of late Dr Alexander Nyõr Gaadi to live in love and unity so as to attract God’s blessings.

The Mother General of Benue State as she is popularly called gave this advice on Sunday when while addressing people at the Makurdi residence of late Dr Gaadi shortly after the Church thanksgiving Service at NKST Gaadi, Makurdi which marked the 10th remembrance anniversary of the Benue illustrious son and community mobilizer.
Mrs Akume who was Mother of the Day and Chairlady of the event went spiritual in her charge to late Gaadi’s wives and  widows all over the world as she quoted Psalms 68:5 and admonished widows not to take their offenders to Court but look onto God who is their Judge, saying God loves them, He is their husband and father of the fatherless.
She prayed God to bless late Dr Gaadi’s children so that their father’s name would never go into extinction.
In his speech, Flight Captain Sam Gaadi appreciated Mrs Regina and her husband, Senator Dr George Akume for always identifying with Gaadi’s family as he pointed out many kind gestures of the Minister to the family right from the time their father was alive.
Stressing Mrs Akume’s passion for humanity, Capt. Gaadi recalled that the first time he met with the mother of Benue abroad, she was looking for clothes for widows and orphans, a gesture he described as sacrificial and selfless, noting that most people go abroad for leisure and rest but she was busy for the sake of widows and orphans.
Speaking earlier during the memorial thanksgiving, Capt. Sam Gaadi who recounted his father’s virtues and social services said, one of the uncompleted projects embarked upon by late Dr Alexander Gaadi was a church building which he (the father) used to carry bricks and cement on his head to serve the builders. He therefore said that they would use the same method with commitment to complete the project.
