Just in: zamfara APP threatens to pull out of the supplementary by election

In less than 24 hours to the conduct of rerun complementary by election in Bakura constituency of zamfara state,the Action people’s Party (APP) has threatened to pull out of the election if irregularities, illegalities and insecurity issues were not addressed squarely in the state.

Addressing newsmen in Gusau,the state APP chairman Honourable zayyanu sslisu Haske said his party is not satisfied with security arrangements in the state.

“Let me at this juncture,used my freedom of expression as enshrined under 199 constitution as amended to express my dissatisfaction on the conduct of security and other security enforcement agencies during the by election”.

Haske further said the APP didn’t accept the two day gap for the conduct of the reru Bakura constituency supplementary by election in the state.

“We the Action people’s Party (APP)did not accept the two days extension of time to conduct the election in Bakura Local government,let the INEC review it’s position and extend the time, otherwise ,we the APP we are not participating”.

According to him,his Party is ready to persue their right from lower to superior court.” We are ready to persue our right from interior up to superior court”, Haske stressed.

In his address to newsmen,the state commissioner of police CP Usman Nagoggo assured of adequate security during the rerun supplementary by election of Bakura constituency in the state.

CP Nagoggo warned that anybody that has no business with rerun election should stay away from the area.

” Security agencies in the state are ready to protect lives and property of every citizens, before, during and after the election in the state”.
