Property Worth Millions Of Naira Destroyed As Hoodlums Invade Radio Nigeria In Ibadan

Men of the underworld have reportedly invaded Radio Nigeria in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Skynewslink gathered from Daily Post that the radio station, named ‘Amuludun 99.1 FM’ was invaded by about twelve hoodlums Saturday afternoon.
The reason for the invasion has not been disclosed.
Daily Post added that the gunmen were armed with cutlasses, matchets, axes and other dangerous weapons with which they destroyed some property worth millions of naira during the attack.
Among the property destroyed included windows of offices, office equipment, cars and other property according to some staff who reportedly spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The General Manager, Amuludun FM, Mr. Niyi Dahunsi was also said to have confirmed the invasion of the radio station on Saturday night.
He, however, said that security agents have been mobilised to prevent further attacks on the station.

“The Police, DSS and NSCDC said the station would be under their watchful eyes for proper security.”
The invasion of the station was said to have come a few days after some hoodlums invaded Palms Mall located at Ring Road area of Ibadan during which one person was reportedly killed by the hoodlums.
