The inspector general police Muhammad Adamu has deployment of additional Manpower of mobile police to Zamfara state for fighting against bandits, cattle rustling, and kidnapping in the state.
Addressing the officers and men at 42 mobile Squart GUSAU the commissioner of police Zamfara state police command Abutu Yaro said that on Monday 15th February, 2021 the Inspector General of Police flagged off a reinvigorated special action plan in Abuja, code named Operation Puff Adder II to reinforce the ongoing fight against Banditry, Kidnapping, Armed Robbery and other violent crimes in the country.
He said the Inspector General of Police has graciously approved the deployment of Two Hundred and Seventy Five (275) Well trained and equipped Puff Adder Operatives headed by Acp Musa Abdullahi.
The Operatives have since arrived the State with combat readiness and motivated agility to complement the existing security arrangements targeted at reclaiming and stabilising the areas earlier dominated by the recalcitrant bandits and other criminal elements in the state.
The Cmmissioner assure the good people of Zamfara State that, the Operations in the State will be intelligence – led and community – driven, and will be executed in
sustained collaboration with other security agencies so that recalcitrant bandits who refused or neglected to embrace the ongoing peace process can be successfully dislodged from their abodes and deny them opportunity to regroup on freely move about in the state.
He said I want to use this opportunity to charge you to be civil to the law abiding citizens but firm and ruthless to criminal elements who may want to threaten the safety and security of of people of Zamfara state. I assure you that your welfare will be taken care of to enable you function effectively.
The commissioner solicited support from the general public to work hand in hand with the Police and other security agencies in the collective task to safeguard the lives and properties of the communities across the State. The citizenry are enjoined to have abiding faith in governance and our determination to create a safer environment for all the residents of Zamfara State.
