LASGOBIG Engages Ministries Over Sanwo-Olu’s 2-year achievements

Lagos status Governance Buliders Independent Group organized governance performance evaluation to celebrate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s two years in office which was recently held at Radisson blue Hotel GRA ikeja.
Speaking at the event, Convener of the group, Mr Emmanuel Amuwo stated that the initiative was the first of its kind in Lagos state towards creating a synergy between the government and the people in order to allow them listen to Government and get feedback.
He said that the intention was to secure their future and would be presented in every quarter of the year by updating the public with a hopeful and reliable government achievements that is reported by the whole ministries.
A representative from the Ministry of Agric, Mr Emmanuel Audi presented a paper on what Lagos had prepared to achieve by the end of year 2025 on the provision of sustainable food production as well as empowered about 7,007 youth and women across the several value chains. He said also that the Governor in his efforts to reduce rate of unemployment in the state shall release and distribute fish finders by the  29th of July 2021.
A representative of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund(LSETF), AG Head of Strategy, Mr Fijo Wisdom said Lagos State has provided loans of 250,000 naira for Lagos business men and women and over 2,900 jobs have been created for Lagosians since the month of May 29 .
The Director of Youth Department of the Ministry of Youth and Social development, Mrs Taiwo Fibisola said the ministry has been able to sensitize about 50 schools in Lagos on drugs abuse and created youth centres all across the state. She informed the audience that the Governor has approved the borehole installation the Epe youth requested and always engaged the youth in town hall meeting by the Lagos State Youth parliament.
Dr Alabi Kazeem of the Ministry of Health said that the government is very much concerned with making healthcare accessible to the citizenry by engaging more healthcare workers
One of the Evaluators, Group managing Director of Ashnalid, Mr Gbenga Adebija said that with the scorecard presented for over 22 million Lagosians by the few featured ministries that Lagos work is commendable as they accepted the group invitation in a short time.
Other featured evaluators were Mrs Jumoke Lawoyin and Mrs Gbemisola Osadua and group of entertainers.
